Why do I write genre fiction? Simple. I lack the wherewithal to write non-fiction.
Why genre fiction? Uhm, that's kind of the only option. Believe it or not, "literary fiction" is a term used by publishers, academics, and critics. Novelists who put that noxious label on their work are dragged into a dark chasm and bitch-slapped by a horde of goblins.
