Also, while it's not my favorite of the series, Star Trek IV The Voyage Home (the one with the whales), or the old episode The City of the Edge of Forever stands out to me, too. Of course, my MOST FAVORITE is the newest Trek film installment; the time-travel repercussions of Spock and one seriously angry Romulan brilliantly allow for a total reboot of the series.
