If you're simply borrowing or shortcutting, then you're not devoting what you should to your work anyway. I have both Celtic and Norse gods together who now live in my Magykal Realm called Flaitheas Draíochta. I also play with the myths of Morgana Le Fey, Loki, Tyr... I think you're right. As long as it works, who cares? I'm who's to say there isn't a Realm where all kinds of gods hang out?Dawnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03923590812755663809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7663321286319002443.post-34637429827427067622012-10-07T15:42:35.324-04:002012-10-07T15:42:35.324-04:00Lucky gal. I haven't seen that movie, but my bet is that it ended up being a hot mess because no one was really trying to tell a true story - they just grabbed a bunch of things in the hopes of a commercially successful venture. A shocking suggestion!Jeffe Kennedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04779020656676094853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7663321286319002443.post-78420158418434281622012-10-07T13:43:58.944-04:002012-10-07T13:43:58.944-04:00Great post, Jeffe. I love how Lynn Viehl twisted the vampire myths to create her Darkyn. But yeah, you can't get too far from the roots or people get confused. (Disney's Hercules, for instance, stretched beyond what my mythology loving heart was willing to accept. What the heck was up with Pegasus being there? And Zeus's wife wasn't... and Hades didn't do... and who thought Megara was a good idea?)B.E.
