Normally that means adding a little something to my office.
There are remarkably few distractions in my office. The windows are down and I stare at a wall without posters. No TV. No movies. I do have music, because I write better and think better to music. Also, on a few occasions, music has been directly responsible for making my mind run along the proper patterns to come up with new ideas that have then sold for money. Music has charms, indeed.
Normally what I buy is a few books. Now and then a DVD. On very rare occasions I'll get myself that office treat that has absolutely no purpose but to make me smile.
They are my reward for services rendered. In short, I feed my inner geek.
Here's how. Keep in mind that each of these is a novel sale, and that they are also inspiration.
Now and then, I like my toys.
Hmm...have any classic He-Man figures hanging out in there?
ReplyDeleteHeh heh heh. Nope. Mostly the bad guys from Marvel and DC.
ReplyDeleteShoot. He would have matched my She-ra!
ReplyDeleteMust not make horribly inappropriate comment...must. Behave like a gentleman ... ;)
